New Delhi-Hero MotoCorp Limited, a motorcycle and scooter manufacturer has unveiled the 2024 Xtreme 160R 4V, a premium 160cc commuter motorcycle. Although the bike’s mechanical specifications stay the same, Hero has refined its design, improved ergonomics, and added new safety features.
Hero initially offered three variants of the Xtreme 160R 4V, but is now selling only the top-of-the-line model. A notable update for this version is the introduction of a new color option named Kevlar Brown, a striking blend of copper and black.
This premium model carriers over all the features of the previous Xtreme 160R 4V and introduces additional enhancements such as dual-channel ABS and a drag race timer. It also sports a new LED tail-light resembling the one found on Hero’s top-tier Mavrick 440, along with a panic brake alert feature to boost safety and added a new seat to enhance rider and pillion comfort.
The Xtreme 160R 4V remains unchanged in terms of mechanics, featuring a 163cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 16.9hp at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6,500rpm. It retains its current hardware, including a 37mm KYB USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The price has been adjusted upward by Rs 2,500, making the new ex-showroom Delhi price Rs 1.38 lakh.
