Hero MotoCorp Launches VIDA Novus

Delhi- Hero MotoCorp Limited., today launched a transformative new chapter in global mobility with the unveiling of VIDA Novus, under its electric brand VIDA – Powered by Hero MotoCorp. Alongside its next-generation electric portfolio, the company also introduced two new high-performance internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles the Hunk 440 SX and Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition engineered and developed by Hero MotoCorp’s R&D teams in India and Germany. The launch marks a defining moment for the company as it accelerates its vision of sustainable, intelligent, and human-centric mobility for a global audience.

Under the VIDA brand, Hero MotoCorp introduced the VIDA Novus lineup three innovative concepts that represent the company’s philosophy, Life is Movement. Each model has been designed to redefine personal mobility with intelligence, sustainability, and seamless connectivity. The NEX 1 is a portable, personal EV designed to move with the user rather than simply carry them. The NEX 2 is a compact, self-balancing electric trike that combines the thrill of a motorcycle with the practicality of three-wheel stability for urban commuting. The NEX 3 offers the safety and comfort of four wheels in a sleek, all-weather design suitable for both urban and rural journeys.

Building on its success in India, VIDA announced the European debut of the VIDA VX2 urban electric scooter at EICMA 2025. The VX2 is designed to combine traditional scooter practicality with advanced electric technology. It offers an impressive 125 km WMTC range, a top speed of 90 km/h, twin removable IP67-rated batteries, and an IP68-rated PMSM drivetrain, underscoring VIDA’s commitment to reliability, sustainability, and global accessibility.

VIDA also showcased two groundbreaking electric motorcycle concepts—the VIDA Concept Ubex and VIDA Project VxZ. The Concept Ubex is the brand’s first global electric motorcycle—a Neo-Naked Urban Explorer that blends futuristic design with multi-terrain capability. Built on a modular platform with advanced connectivity, it offers class-leading ride comfort and adaptability. The VIDA Project VxZ, developed in collaboration with Zero Motorcycles (USA), represents a major milestone in Hero MotoCorp’s electrification journey. This collaboration combines Hero’s global scale with Zero’s expertise in performance EV motorcycles, accelerating the transformation of the global two-wheeler landscape.

Hero MotoCorp further expanded its electric offerings with the unveiling of the VIDA DIRT.E Series, designed for those who “Ride Beyond the Wild.” This all-new line of electric off-road motorcycles blends sustainability with performance and adventure. The DIRT.E K3 is a first-of-its-kind electric motorcycle for children aged 4 to 10, featuring three adjustable sizes to grow with the rider. It has already earned the Red Dot Design Concept Award 2025 and will debut in Europe and India, with pre-interest registrations now open. The DIRT.E MX7 Racing Concept, meanwhile, is a high-performance off-road electric motorcycle designed for extreme riders. Lightweight, durable, and built with Hero’s Dakar Rally engineering expertise, it promises unmatched performance for off-road enthusiasts.

In addition to its electric innovations, Hero MotoCorp also unveiled two new Euro5+ compliant ICE models the Hunk 440 SX and Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition built for global markets. Inspired by the experience of the Hero MotoSports Team Rally, these motorcycles emphasize performance, precision, and adventure. The Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition, celebrating Hero’s 2024 FIM World Title and Dakar podium finish, features a liquid-cooled 210cc DOHC engine, fully adjustable rally suspension with 280mm travel, and 270mm of ground clearance. Designed for true adventure enthusiasts, it meets stringent European emission standards while delivering rally-grade performance.

The Hunk 440 SX is a modern scrambler built for riders who seek both style and substance. Powered by a 440cc oil-cooled, long-stroke engine, it features Ride-by-Wire technology, multiple ride modes, and switchable ABS with traction control. Supported by a high-strength perimeter frame, an 18-inch front wheel, and long-travel suspension, it delivers confidence and versatility across both city streets and rugged terrain.
