New Delhi, India -Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has unveiled its first Flex Fuel motorcycles, the Splendor+ Flex Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel. The launch marks the introduction of India's first Flex Fuel motorcycles in the 100cc segment, supporting the country's shift towards cleaner and more sustainable mobility.
The new motorcycles are compatible with ethanol-blended fuels ranging from E20 to E85, helping reduce emissions while maintaining the performance and affordability that commuters expect. The vehicles were unveiled ahead of World Environment Day in the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG), and Mr. Harshavardhan Chitale, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hero MotoCorp.
Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), said the launch is a significant step towards reducing crude oil imports, supporting ethanol adoption, empowering farmers, and advancing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG), said the introduction of Flex Fuel motorcycles will strengthen India's biofuels ecosystem, enhance energy security, and reduce dependence on imported crude oil.
Mr. Harshavardhan Chitale, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hero MotoCorp, said the motorcycles reflect the company's commitment to sustainable mobility and locally developed technology, while supporting India's long-term energy and environmental goals.
Hero MotoCorp will launch the Flex Fuel motorcycles in Delhi and selected regions of Maharashtra in July 2026, followed by a nationwide rollout.
