Novi, United States- Hino Motors ltd., has introduced the all-new Le Series battery electric vehicle (BEV) at ACT Expo 2026, strengthening its commitment to cleaner commercial mobility and lower-emission fleet operations.
The new Le Series is offered in two gross vehicle weight rating configurations: 25,950 lbs. for the L6e and 33,000 lbs. for the L7e. Designed for fleets seeking practical electrification solutions, the model aims to combine Hino’s proven truck platform with zero-emission performance, durability, and everyday usability.
According to Hino Trucks, the Le Series supports customers working to reduce their environmental footprint without compromising the ownership experience expected from medium-duty commercial vehicles.
The truck is powered by the Hexagon Purus ProPack Battery System, using Panasonic Energy lithium-ion battery cells with a rated capacity of 269 kWh and operating voltage of up to 750 volts. It supports DC fast charging via CCS Type 1 at 120 kW, enabling charging from 0 to 80 percent in approximately 1.8 hours.
Power comes from Accelera’s Integrated e-Axle 14Xe Gen 4.5, delivering 260 kW / 348 hp peak output and 180 kW / 241 hp continuous power through an integrated two-speed automatic transmission and axle.
The Le Series also features programmable regenerative braking, improved weight distribution, and an advanced electrical system designed to support efficiency, range optimization, and lower operating emissions. Drivers benefit from quiet operation, smooth electric torque delivery, and improved comfort, while the clear back-of-cab layout helps body builders simplify upfitting for multiple applications.
Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning, positioning the Le Series as a practical electric medium-duty truck option for fleets moving toward sustainable operations.
