Tokyo, Japan - Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., a construction machinery company, has invested $3 million in Canada-based Rithmik Solutions Ltd., an artificial intelligence company focused on advancing data analytics for mining equipment.

Rithmik’s technology transforms complex operational data into actionable insights, helping mine sites improve fleet performance and detect potential machine failures early. The partnership aims to reduce downtime and lower total cost of ownership for Hitachi equipment users worldwide.

Mr. Simon Wilson, COO of Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas, said, “Rithmik Solutions’ technology is among the most advanced globally. Their open platform approach aligns perfectly with our vision for the future, and we remain committed to delivering solutions that address our customers’ challenges.”

Rithmik’s AI is expected to enhance Hitachi’s LANDCROS Connect Insight platform, which provides real-time data analysis and remote monitoring for mining operations. By integrating Rithmik’s analytics, the platform can identify root causes of issues and recommend proactive maintenance before major problems occur, improving asset health management with greater precision.

In field testing conducted from August 2024 to July 2025, data from 40 dump trucks and six ultra-large hydraulic excavators confirmed the AI’s ability to detect anomalies early. This enables LANDCROS Connect Insight to suggest interventions that maximize machine capacity, boost productivity, prevent downtime, and reduce lifecycle costs.

This investment comes ahead of Hitachi Construction Machinery’s rebranding to LANDCROS in April 2027. The new brand will continue to focus on machinery while emphasizing solutions and open collaboration—the “O” in LANDCROS. Partnering with AI specialists like Rithmik Solutions supports this vision, accelerating the adoption of advanced analytics across the mining sector.

As LANDCROS, the company will continue leveraging technology and strategic partnerships to meet the evolving needs of mining customers globally.
