Tokyo, Japan - Hitachi Construction Machinery., a construction machinery manufacturer, reported record first-quarter revenue of approximately $2.1 billion, up 7.5% year on year, supported by strong aftermarket growth and resilient global demand.
For the quarter ended June 30, revenue reached 329.1 billion yen, while adjusted operating income increased to around $203.6 million. Construction machinery revenue stood at approximately $1.8 billion.
Revenue from value-chain businesses, including parts, maintenance, rentals and used equipment, rose 17.2% to $991.8 million, accounting for 48% of total revenue, compared with 44% a year earlier.
North American revenue declined 7.4% to $413.2 million due to weaker equipment sales, while Central and South American revenue more than doubled to $95.5 million, supported by mining investment.
Following the strong quarter, Hitachi Construction Machinery raised its fiscal 2026 revenue forecast by 2.8% to approximately $9.5 billion, representing projected annual growth of 4.6%. North American full-year revenue is expected to reach about $2.2 billion, up 10.9% year on year.
