      Karnataka – Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery., has officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art Development Center in Hubli, Karnataka. Located within the renowned Deshpande Foundation Campus, the new facility is poised to become a cornerstone for cutting-edge research, design, and development in construction equipment.

      This milestone marks a major step in Hitachi’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its presence in India and aligning with the country’s expanding infrastructure and industrial growth. The Development Center will serve as a hub for designing and developing advanced construction machinery tailored to meet the unique demands of the Indian and global markets.

      Mr. Yusuke Kajita, Executive Officer, Hitachi Construction Machinery, said, “This new Development Center is an important milestone in our efforts to expand our footprint in India and continue driving innovation in the construction machinery industry.”

      Mr. Sandeep Singh, Managing Director, Tata Hitachi, said, "We are excited to collaborate with Hitachi in this new development and look forward to the groundbreaking work that will emerge from this facility, advancing the industry further."

      Strategically situated in Hubli, the center will leverage local talent and foster collaboration with academic institutions, startups, and industry partners. It is equipped with advanced digital design tools, simulation platforms, and testing labs, enabling engineers and developers to work on next-generation construction technologies that emphasize performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

      The center also aligns with Hitachi’s global vision of integrating digital solutions, automation, and green technologies into its equipment portfolio, offering smarter, safer, and more environmentally responsible machines.

      Beyond product development, the facility aims to nurture engineering talent through structured training programs, internships, and collaborative research initiatives. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to skill development in the region and support the government’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives.
