France, Europe - Hitachi Construction Machinery., a construction machinery manufacturer, has delivered Europe’s first EX2000-7 ultra-large excavator to a customer in France. The 200-tonne machine following assembly and commissioning by authorised dealer Teramat. This marked the first Hitachi model selected by the customer, located in the country’s central-eastern region.

The EX2000-7 is engineered for extreme robustness and productivity. Its narrow 9m³ bucket allows increased penetration force, ideal for excavation sites with height constraints of 0 to 13m. Teramat equipped the machine with additional features, including a chain scraper for material removal, water mist fire protection, and auxiliary cab heating.

The excavator was officially inaugurated in October at an event attended by HCME’s Satoshi Konno, Teramat’s Pierre Mailland-Rosset, regional officials, and the customer’s team. The delivery underscores over 20 years of collaboration between HCME, Teramat, and the customer, highlighting mutual trust, performance, and technical support.

Pierre Mailland-Rosset said, “This delivery is the culmination of an industrial project executed hand in hand with our customer and the Hitachi teams. The arrival of the first EX2000-7 in Europe demonstrates the strong trust and partnership we share.”

Satoshi Konno added, “The professionalism and strong relationship between Teramat and the customer are impressive. This commissioning is just the beginning, and we will continue supporting Teramat to ensure the machine’s performance and availability.”
