Haryana - Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., a motorcycles manufacturer, has officially relaunched its flagship sportbike, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, in India. The model is offered exclusively in the top-spec SP trim and comes with updated bodywork and revised hardware, reflecting Honda’s MotoGP learnings.
The design retains the aggressive twin-pod LED headlamps flanking a central air intake, while new aerodynamic winglets integrated into the fairing enhance downforce at high speeds.
Under the fairing, the bike is powered by a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine producing 214.5bhp at 14,000rpm and 113Nm at 12,000rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring a bi-directional quickshifter and Akrapovic Titanium exhaust.
The Fireblade SP boasts premium hardware, including Ohlins electronically adjustable USD front forks and rear monoshock, along with Brembo braking setup—twin 330mm discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.
Electronics are extensive, with five power modes, nine traction control levels, three-level engine brake control, wheelie control, ABS, and more, all monitored via a five-inch TFT display.
This relaunch solidifies Honda’s position in India’s high-performance sportbike segment, blending cutting-edge tech with racing-inspired performance.
