Haryana - Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., (HMSI) a subsidiary of Honda Motor Company, has launched the 2025 Livo commuter motorcycle, featuring a digital instrument cluster and OBD2B compliance. The motorcycle is available in both drum and disc brake variants.

The updated model features a digital display that shows real-time mileage, distance to empty, service indicators, and gear position. It retains the 109.51cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 6.47 kW of power at 7500 RPM and 9.30 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM, paired with a four-speed transmission.

Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director of HMSI, said, “The new model aims to enhance the company's presence in the 110cc segment. The motorcycle will be sold through Honda's dealership network across India.”

The 2025 Livo is available in three color combinations: black with orange stripes, black with blue stripes, and blue. Safety features include a side stand engine cut-off system, which prevents the engine from starting when the side stand is down.

The OBD2B compliance aligns the motorcycle with upcoming emission regulations. This technology allows for improved monitoring of the vehicle's emission control systems, highlighting the industry's shift toward stricter emission standards.

The 110cc motorcycle segment in India, which represents a significant share of two-wheeler sales, is experiencing heightened competition as manufacturers introduce features typically seen in higher segments. This segment mainly serves urban commuters and has seen rising demand for fuel-efficient vehicles equipped with modern features.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India offers a range from 110cc commuter bikes to premium models, with the Livo in the entry-level segment. The Indian two-wheeler market is recovering post-pandemic, with manufacturers introducing updated models with new features at competitive prices.
