Haryana - Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI)., a motorcycles manufacturer, has launched the updated OBD2B-compliant Hornet 2.0 in India. The 2025 model boasts refreshed styling, advanced technology, and enhanced safety features, according to company officials.
Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “The Hornet 2.0 has been a game-changer in the segment ever since it was first introduced in August 2020. Over the years, we have continuously updated the motorcycle and even introduced special MotoGP edition models, each receiving an overwhelming response from our customers. With the new OBD2B-compliant Hornet 2.0, we aim to take this legacy forward by offering an even more refined riding experience, coupled with cutting-edge technology and superior safety features.”
The 2025 Hornet 2.0 arrives with significant technological upgrades, including a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity powered by the Honda RoadSync app. This integration enables riders to seamlessly access turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alerts, and message notifications while riding. Additionally, a USB C-type charging port has been introduced, providing enhanced connectivity and convenience for riders on the go.
The Hornet 2.0 will be offered in four striking color options: Pearl Igneous Black, Radiant Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Mat Axis Gray Metallic.
Mr. Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, said, “The motorcycle now boasts aggressive new graphics, an advanced digital TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, and safety features like Honda Selectable Torque Control and Dual-Channel ABS.”
The Hornet 2.0 is powered by an OBD2B-compliant 184.40cc single-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive 12.50 kW of power at 8500 RPM and a peak torque of 15.7 Nm at 6000 RPM. This refined engine is paired with a 5-speed transmission, ensuring a responsive and dynamic riding experience. Additionally, the inclusion of an Assist & Slipper Clutch enhances rideability by enabling smoother gear shifts and reducing rear-wheel lock-up during aggressive downshifting.
