Gurugram- Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI)., has officially launched the much-awaited Rebel 500 in the Indian market, further expanding its premium BigWing lineup. this retro-inspired cruiser is now open for bookings at select BigWing Topline dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with deliveries scheduled to begin in June 2025.
The 2025 Honda Rebel 500 combines classic ‘bobber’ styling with modern touches, offering a unique riding experience tailored for Indian enthusiasts. Its design features include a low 690 mm seat height, fat tyres, and a minimalist tubular steel frame, making it approachable for riders of all skill levels. The bike is offered in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour and features all-black components for a bold, custom look.
A signature steeply raked fuel tank, wide handlebars, and a full LED lighting system—including a distinctive round headlamp—complete the Rebel’s authentic cruiser appearance. The standard variant is equipped with seats for both the rider and pillion.
At the heart of the Rebel 500 lies a 471cc, liquid-cooled, 8-valve, parallel-twin engine, tuned to produce 34 kW at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, delivering a smooth and torque-rich performance ideal for both urban commutes and highway cruising. The stubby exhaust adds to the bike’s cruiser character with a deep, throaty note.
The Rebel 500 is engineered for comfort and control, featuring telescopic front forks and Showa dual rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by a 296mm front disc and 240mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS for added safety. The bike rides on Dunlop tyres—130/90-16 at the front and 150/80-16 at the rear—mounted on 16-inch alloy wheels for enhanced stability and road grip.
Blending retro aesthetics with modern functionality, the Rebel 500 is equipped with an inverted LCD display that shows essential ride information clearly and stylishly.
