ChennaiHonda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI).,has expanded its portfolio with the launch of the CB125 Hornet and the Shine 100 DX in Chennai. The new models showcase Honda’s dual strategy of attracting young, performance-driven riders while strengthening its presence in the commuter segment that prioritizes practicality and dependability.

The CB125 Hornet, launched under the theme “Ride Your Rizz”, is built for the next generation with a street-naked design, aggressive styling, and four dual-tone color options. It comes equipped with first-in-segment golden USD front forks, an all-LED lighting system, and a 4.2-inch TFT display integrated with Bluetooth-enabled Honda RoadSync for navigation, calls, and SMS alerts. Additional features include a Type-C charging port, a 240mm petal front disc brake with single-channel ABS, and a 123.94cc, OBD2B-compliant engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox that, according to Honda, delivers a class-leading 0–60 km/h acceleration in 5.4 seconds.

The Shine 100 DX continues the popular Shine legacy with the tagline “Solid Hai”, bringing refreshed styling and added features for daily commuters. It features a redesigned headlamp with chrome accents, a sculpted fuel tank, updated graphics, and an all-black engine complemented by a chrome muffler cover. Available in four colors, it also includes a digital LCD instrument cluster with real-time mileage, distance-to-empty, and service reminders. Powering the Shine 100 DX is a 98.98cc, OBD2B-compliant engine with Honda’s Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, paired with a 4-speed gearbox. Together, these two motorcycles underline Honda’s commitment to offering both aspirational performance and dependable everyday mobility in India’s competitive two-wheeler market.
