HORSCH Launches Avatar 12 LC Seeder for Maximum Efficiency

Schwandorf, Germany - HORSCH Maschinen GmbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its Avatar seeder line with the new Avatar 12 LC, designed to meet the growing demands for efficiency in modern agriculture. The 12-meter version of the Avatar LC, with a row spacing of 25 cm, offers enhanced capacity compared to the Avatar SD models, especially in terms of its hopper system.

The Avatar LC features a triple-compartment tank with a total capacity of 9,400 liters, divided into three sections: 4,580 liters, 1,530 liters, and 3,290 liters (50:15:35 ratio). This setup enables flexible application of up to three components simultaneously. As an optional upgrade, the machine can be fitted with a MiniDrill to allow for the application of up to four components, further increasing its versatility.

The Avatar LC uses the proven "SingleDisc" coulter, designed specifically for the Avatar series and continually refined for improved performance. This coulter allows for a variety of seeding methods, including direct seeding, mulch seeding, and the offset seeding technique. The depth control wheel ensures precise seed placement, enhancing the machine's overall accuracy and efficiency.

Future upgrades for the Avatar series are already planned, including the AutoForce automatic coulter pressure regulation system and the RowControl distribution tower, both designed to further enhance functionality and ease of use.

For those dealing with large amounts of straw, the Avatar LC can also be equipped with trash wheels to facilitate better residue management. These trailed trash wheels are individually adjustable and ensure perfect contour following, an important feature for direct seeding, where minimal soil disturbance is essential. The trailed arrangement allows for organic material to be removed at the surface without significantly disturbing the soil.

Additionally, the Avatar LC complies with the CoC (Certificate of Conformity) specifications, making it fully authorized for use on public roads across Europe. With its advanced features and flexible options, the Horsch Avatar 12 LC is poised to meet the demands of modern farming, providing high efficiency, precise seed placement, and optimal soil preservation.
