Schwandorf, Germany - HORSCH Maschinen GmbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its spring tine cultivator lineup with the launch of the Finer XL, a versatile trailed model designed to complement its existing 3-point range. This addition allows for broader application flexibility and the ability to cultivate with smaller tractors.

The Finer XL is engineered for year-round use, suitable for tasks ranging from stubble cultivation and seedbed preparation to mechanical weed control. It excels in shallow tillage with a working depth of 2 to 10 cm, delivering consistent all-over cutting. The cultivator is currently available in 7-meter and 8-meter working widths, catering to different operational needs.

To optimize the trailed design, Horsch has adjusted the tine positioning. The cultivator features a 6-bar tine zone with 15 cm spacing, equipped with proven point options including 5 cm or 20 cm wing points. This configuration provides versatility for various soil conditions and tasks, ensuring effective stubble cultivation, seedbed preparation, and residue mixing. With a bar spacing of 52 cm, the Finer XL offers high clearance, enabling smooth operation even in fields with abundant organic residues.

Lightweight yet robust, the Finer XL boasts a stable frame and centrally positioned transport wheels that enhance durability in demanding conditions. Depth control is precise, supported by front depth control wheels, contour-following capabilities, and options for single or double packers at the rear. These features enable accurate depth maintenance, especially during shallow cultivation.

Further enhancing its adaptability, the Finer XL can be customized with various packer and harrow combinations to suit specific soil types and field conditions.

Horsch plans to expand the Finer XL series with additional working widths and a version featuring only a harrow without a packer, broadening its appeal to a wider range of farming operations.
