Schwandorf, Germany - HORSCH Maschinen GmbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its line of universal cultivators with the launch of the new Fortis LT, designed specifically for medium-sized farms and tractors up to 500 hp. The Fortis LT offers working widths between 4.60 and 6.75 meters, making it suitable for a variety of field sizes and applications.
Engineered for both shallow and deep soil cultivation up to 30 cm, the Fortis LT combines strength and efficiency to handle the high demands of modern farming and heavy crop residues. Its robust 4-bar frame, with 27 cm tine spacing and an 85 cm frame height, ensures smooth operation with minimal blockage and excellent soil mixing.
At the heart of the Fortis LT is HORSCH’s trusted TerraGrip tine system, featuring large shaft radii that help reduce power requirements. Compared to the Fortis AS model, the LT is shorter and more compact, enhancing its handling and manoeuvrability in the field.
A key design upgrade is the placement of levelling tools directly behind the final tine row. This guides the soil flow straight into the levelling discs, improving soil finish and consistency. Additionally, the chassis is positioned outside the working area, ensuring that it does not interfere with soil processing.
To enhance adaptability, the Fortis LT is compatible with HORSCH’s MulchMix coulter system, allowing users to select different coulter and wing types based on specific field conditions. It also supports a wide range of packer options to suit varying soil types and moisture levels.
With its compact design, powerful performance, and versatile setup, the Fortis LT offers a smart, modern cultivation solution for medium-power tractors—bringing together field-proven technologies with new features to meet the demands of today’s agricultural landscape.
