Date: December 26, 2024
Schwandorf, Germany - Horsch Maschinen GmbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced a new model in the Avatar drill family, featuring enhanced capacity and the capability to deliver up to four separate components, offering improved versatility for farmers.
The Avatar 12.25 LC is equipped with a 9400-litre triple tank, split in a 50:15:35 ratio, as standard. Additionally, it offers the option to mount a HORSCH MiniDrill with a 400-litre capacity for added flexibility. Available exclusively in a 12m model, the Avatar LC provides a 3000-litre increase in capacity compared to the 12m Avatar SD, significantly improving both efficiency and performance for a variety of agricultural tasks.
The seed wagon layout of the Avatar 12.25 LC extends the drilling window, with large tire widths that reduce compaction even in wet soil conditions. Double support wheels at the wings ensure minimal tracks and optimal soil adaptation. Featuring a 1-row design with SingleDisc coulters and a row spacing of 25cm, the Avatar 12.25 LC is well-suited for mechanical population control and various sowing methods, including direct seed, mulch seed, and sowing into standing catch crops.
The Avatar is a versatile, durable, and precise direct drilling expert, suitable for both direct drilling and cultivated soils. With a high coulter pressure of up to 350 kg per row and maintenance-free bearings, it delivers reliable and efficient performance. Depth control on each individual coulter, along with adjustable closing wheels, ensures precise drilling across a variety of soil conditions.
The Avatar SD comes in working widths from 3m to 8m with a 16cm row spacing, and from 8m to 18m with a 25cm row spacing. The Avatar SL, a 6m mounted model, offers 25cm or 30cm row spacing and operates in tandem with the HORSCH Partner FT front tank, providing versatile and efficient sowing options.
