Hydex Enters U.S. Market Via Partnership with Hills Machinery

Stortford, United Kingdom - Hydex Solutions, Ltd., an articulated water tank manufacturer, is making its U.S. debut through an exclusive partnership with Hills Machinery Company, LLC., a Case and Hitachi dealer. The collaboration will introduce Hydex’s advanced water tanks to customers across Hills Machinery’s 14 locations in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions under the new entity, Hydex USA.

Hydex tanks are engineered to integrate seamlessly with Rokbak articulated dump trucks, another brand Hills Machinery represents, headquartered in Scotland. The tanks can also be upfitted to any customer’s preferred articulated dump truck (ADT) brand or even older truck chassis. Tank and chassis integration will be handled at Hills Machinery’s Wilson, South Carolina location and a joint upfit and manufacturing center in Seattle, Washington.

Two key tank-truck combinations include the Hydex 6,000-gallon AWT6 paired with the Rokbak 370-horsepower RA30, and the Hydex 9,000-gallon AWT9 paired with the Rokbak 444-horsepower RA40.

Hydex water tanks feature American-made Elkhart pumps and cannons that can spray water over 213 feet, with adjustable flow rates of 320, 480, or 630 gallons per minute. They offer a comprehensive spraying system including a front bumper sprayer, vertical side sprayer, and rear spray bar, covering more than 82 feet.

An electric Hannay hose reel holds 100 feet of 1.5-inch hose with an adjustable nozzle for hard-to-reach areas. The tanks also include heavy-duty 3-inch sprayers controlled from the cab, a rear dribble bar, and a 3-inch coupler for easy hydrant loading. Optional features include suction loading, a rear lighting kit with a rotary beacon, rear backup camera, and top-of-tank safety rails.
