Las Vegas, USA - HD Hyundai Construction Equipment., a construction equipment manufacturer, will unveil the first models of its next-generation HX crawler excavator line at ConExpo 2026, highlighting improved operator comfort, advanced technologies, and greater fuel efficiency. The initial machines set to hit the market are the 36-ton HX360L and 40-ton HX400L, featuring a completely redesigned platform that Hyundai has been showcasing at international trade shows over the past year.
The new HX models are powered by a 6-cylinder DX08 diesel engine delivering up to 341 horsepower, offering a 22 percent boost in productivity. They also include improved Rexroth hydraulic pumps, in-house swing and travel motors, and a fully electro-hydraulic control system designed to enhance handling while reducing fuel consumption.
Operator-focused technologies include Lift Assist, Smart Around View Monitoring, a Radar Object Warning System, E-Stop functionality, and a Virtual Wall setting. Optional features include keyless entry and premium leather seats with heating and cooling functions. Maintenance intervals for engine oil, fuel, and filters have been extended, and six LED work lights and a white-noise alarm enhance usability and safety.
Hyundai will also host an Operator Challenge on March 3–5 at its indoor booth in West Hall #W42500, where attendees can test their skills on the HX19E electric excavator for daily cash prizes. The company will participate in ConExpo’s Shop Talks and Walks on March 7, providing hands-on workshops focused on machine maintenance, walkaround inspections, and critical service data collection.
