      Gurugram- Hyundai Motor India Limited., (HMIL) a 180 kW DC fast EV charging station has been inaugurated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It includes 150 kW and 30 kW connectors, marking a significant step in public electric vehicle infrastructure.

      Mr. Jae Wan Ryu, Executive Director of Corporate Planning, HMIL, said, “Tamil Nadu is home for Hyundai, and we have been committed to Tamil Nadu since our inception. As we celebrate 28 years of HMIL in India, we are delighted to inaugurate our first-ever 180 kW fast public charging station in Chennai. In line with Hyundai’s vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, we aim to enhance the convenience of all EV users, and hence our charging stations can be utilized by any four-wheeler EV user.”

      The EV charging facility is accessible to EV owners via HMIL's Charger Management System within the myHyundai App. This feature allows users to conveniently track location, navigate to the station, pre-book charging slots, make digital payments, and monitor charging status remotely. Notably, the app is available to both Hyundai and non-Hyundai EV users, ensuring accessibility for all.

      The charging station has been set in place of the heart of Chennai and is located at the Spencer Plaza Mall, Anna Salai, Thousand Lights – Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
