Gurugram - Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), a car manufacturer, has introduced the new EXTER Knight, a black-themed version of its compact SUV with sportier styling and exclusive dark design elements. The launch builds on the success of Hyundai’s Knight range, which has crossed 1,00,000 cumulative sales since 2022.
Aimed at young urban customers, the EXTER Knight combines distinctive exterior and interior upgrades with the practicality, technology, safety and comfort features of the standard EXTER, giving the SUV a more striking and premium road presence.

The Hyundai EXTER Knight distinguishes itself with a bold black-themed design that enhances the SUV’s sporty and confident character. Its exterior features matte black Hyundai and EXTER logos, dark grey bumper and side sill garnishes, sporty R15 black alloy wheels or dark grey styled steel wheels, red front brake calipers and an exclusive Knight emblem, giving the vehicle a more distinctive road presence.
Inside, the EXTER Knight continues the dark theme with an all-black cabin complemented by brass accents. Exclusive black semi-fabric seat upholstery, amber footwell lighting and a black D-cut steering wheel further strengthen its sporty and premium interior appeal while retaining the practicality and comfort of the standard EXTER.
The EXTER Knight is powered by Hyundai’s 1.2-litre four-cylinder Kappa petrol engine and is available with multiple transmission and fuel options. Customers can choose between a 5-speed manual petrol, Smart Auto AMT petrol, or a 1.2-litre bi-fuel petrol and CNG configuration paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The model is offered in five exterior colour options: Titanium Black, Atlas White, Starry Night, Titan Grey and Golden Bronze, providing customers with a range of choices that complement the Knight edition’s distinctive styling.
