South Korea/England- Hyundai Motor Company., an automotive manufacturer, has debuted the all-new IONIQ 6 N at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking a significant milestone in the company’s electrification journey. As the second production model in Hyundai N’s high-performance EV lineup, the IONIQ 6 N builds on the momentum of the IONIQ 5 N and reinforces the brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric performance.
Rooted in Hyundai N’s three-pillar philosophy Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar, the IONIQ 6 N is engineered to deliver exhilarating track performance while maintaining the comfort and practicality required for daily driving. With its aggressive design, cutting-edge technology, and race-bred dynamics, the IONIQ 6 N bridges the gap between motorsport and road use.
The IONIQ 6 N is powered by dual motors generating up to 650 PS (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque, enabling a blistering 0–100 km/h sprint in just 3.2 seconds (with N Launch Control) and a top speed of 257 km/h. Its new 84.0 kWh battery pack, paired with Hyundai's N Battery Management System, ensures thermal stability and sustained high performance for various racing conditions including drag, sprint, and endurance modes.
Design and aerodynamics play a crucial role in performance, with a swan neck rear wing, widened fenders, and a low drag coefficient of 0.27. A newly introduced Performance Blue Pearl exterior color, exclusive to the N brand, gives the IONIQ 6 N a bold, refined look. The suspension system has also been overhauled, featuring a reengineered chassis, a lowered roll center for high-speed stability, and stroke-sensing ECS dampers for real-time adaptive handling.
Inside, the IONIQ 6 N offers a uniquely immersive experience thanks to Hyundai’s proprietary N Active Sound+ system. With sound profiles like Ignition, Evolution, and Lightspeed, drivers can enjoy a range of auditory experiences tailored to different moods and driving scenarios. Complementing this is the N e-Shift system, which simulates gear shifts to deliver the tactile feedback of traditional internal combustion vehicles, enhancing driver connection and control.
Adding further flair is the N Ambient Shift Light, which provides visual cues for shift points through ambient interior lighting. The N Track Manager allows users to create custom tracks, analyze lap times, and visualize performance with ghost car data. Meanwhile, the N Drift Optimizer offers full control over drift dynamics including initiation, angle, and wheel spin for both novice and experienced drivers.
Performance-enhancing features such as N Grin Boost, N Pedal, regenerative braking up to 0.6G, adjustable torque distribution, and a custom TPMS mode provide a comprehensive toolset for track-day enthusiasts and spirited road drivers alike. Hyundai will also offer a range of N Performance Parts to further personalize the vehicle’s style and dynamics.
The IONIQ 6 N made a dramatic first appearance at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it starred in the ‘N Moment’ synchronized demonstration run alongside Hyundai’s full performance lineup. Models like the IONIQ 5 N, RN24, and IONIQ 6 N Drift Spec also featured, showcasing Hyundai N’s evolution from electric motorsport to street-ready EVs.
