Turin, Italy - Iveco Group N.V., through its IDV brand specializing in defence and civil protection equipment, has secured a contract with the Brazilian Army. Signed via the Army Manufacturing Directorate, the contract entails the delivery 420 units of LMV-BR 2 (Light Multirole Vehicle) over the next decade, with initial deliveries started for 2026. This agreement, valued at 1.4 billion Brazilian reais (approximately 235 million euros at the current exchange rate), represents a significant milestone in the enduring partnership between IDV and the Brazilian Army. This collaboration including the provision of 700 units of the 6x6 amphibious armored vehicle “Guarani” and 32 units of the LMV-BR.

The new LMV-BR 2 vehicles, referred to as “Guaicurus” in Brazil, will be manufactured at IDV’s facility in Sete Lagoas, Brazil.
