India - A construction machinery market witnessed a sharp spike in June 2025, with retail sales reaching 8,560 units, marking a remarkable 55.04% year-on-year growth. This robust performance reflects strong momentum in the infrastructure sector and aggressive sales strategies from leading players.

JCB India Limited., maintained its dominant position, leading the market with 2,390 units sold, accounting for a 27.92% market share. The company’s strong dealer network and continuous product innovation helped solidify its top position. Action Construction Equipment (ACE)., secured second place with 885 units, followed by AJAX Engineering, which sold 649 units and captured a 7.58% share of the market.

Escorts Kubota Limited, despite ranking fourth with 510 units, experienced a drop in market share by 1.76%, indicating pressure from rising competition. Case New Holland rounded out the top five, selling 473 units, benefiting from growing demand in specific regions.

For the April to June 2025 quarter, total retail sales of construction machinery stood at 20,960 units, indicating strong and sustained demand in the Indian construction equipment market.

JCB continued to lead with 7,471 units sold, capturing a 35.64% share of the quarter’s total sales. ACE followed in second with a 11.92% share, showing consistency in performance.

AJAX Engineering retained its third-place ranking with 1,568 units, while Escorts Kubota trailed closely in fourth place with 1,371 units. Case New Holland remained in fifth place, registering 834 units and holding 3.98% market share.

The steady growth reflects rising construction activity across regions, driven by targeted marketing and dealer promotions. With infrastructure projects picking up pace, the strong June and Q1 FY2025–26 performance signals continued momentum. Manufacturers are expected to build on this with new launches, wider service reach, and better financing options.
