Chennai/ USA– Chennai based India Pistons Limited (IPL)1 of Amalgamations Group, a leading manufacturer of pistons and allied components for the internal combustion engine has entered a joint venture (JV) with Florida, USA-based Shaw Development LLC to manufacture DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) solutions for heavy duty vehicle (CV and Off-Road) and diesel engine manufacturers. The new entity will be called IPL Shaw Solutions Private Limited.
Through this JV, Shaw development plan to offer an emission treatment components like DEF reservoirs, sensors, modules, filters, caps, and other fluid management solutions to vehicle manufacturers in India.
Dr R Mahadevan, Director, IPL says that the availability of the systems will be relevant to global and local OEMs in meeting the regulatory and environmental requirements in the Indian market.
Shaw Development’s chairman and CEO, Keith Luomala adds that India is the most strategic growth market for Shaw and he is excited to partner with IPL and OE manufacturers to leverage industry-leading technologies to develop highly reliable DEF and fluid management solutions.
