Munich, Germany- Infineon Technologies AG., has introduced the XENSIV SP49 tire pressure monitoring sensor using its unique glass-silicon-glass MEMS sensor for the automobile tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) market. Advanced tire pressure monitoring systems are made possible by the sensor's integration of MEMS sensors and ASIC. It has a potent 32-bit Arm® M0+ CPU, lots of RAM and flash storage, Low Power Monitoring (LPM), and enhanced quick acceleration sensing. The SP49 is perfectly suited for intelligent tire functions including load recognition, on-tire auto-position sensing, help with tire inflation, and tire blowout detection.

The SP49 is a pin-to-pin replacement for Infineon's SP40 TPMS products from the previous generation. The SP49 is perfect for sub-1GHz and expandable for BLE TPMS thanks to its hardware master/slave I2C interface, software-simulated UART, SPI, and PWM interfaces, and PWM interface. The sensor, which is offered at ASIL-A, provides a high level of integration and is tailored to carry out all tasks necessary to construct a contemporary TPMS module. The SP49 only needs a few passive components to build an entire TPMS sensor unit thanks to its integrated microprocessor, sensors, and practical peripherals. The gadget's minimal power requirements make it perfect for battery-powered applications.

The SP49 products are appropriate for stand-alone remote pressure sensing solutions that need low power consumption in addition to having an integrated interval timer that can create a wake-up. On-demand measurements are made possible in these applications by the LF receiver's wake-up capability and best-in-class sensitivity.
