Bengaluru- Ingersoll - Rand (India) Limited., manufactures and sells industrial air compressors, the Board of Directors, following the Nomination and Remuneration Committee’s recommendations, approved two appointments to drive strategic growth and operational excellence. Mr. Gareth Robert Topping has been appointed as an Additional Director (Non-Executive & Non-Independent), effective from November 12th 2024 while Mr. Sunil Khanduja has been named the Managing Director for a five-year term from November 12, 2024, to November 11, 2029. He will be leading complete Compression Systems & Services business in India.
Mr. Gareth Robert Topping brings over 20 years of expertise in engineering and management. He began as a Technical Apprentice at Walker Filtration, eventually becoming Manufacturing Manager. In 2014, Gareth joined Gardner Denver, advancing to strategic sales and operations leadership roles in the UK. Following its merger with Ingersoll Rand, he served as Vice President for Vacuum and Low-Pressure portfolios in 2020, overseeing operations across North America and Europe. Recently, as Vice President and General Manager of Compression Systems and Services, EMEIA, Gareth’s strategic and innovative approach has driven significant growth and value creation for stakeholders.
Mr. Sunil Khanduja, aged 45, holds an engineering degree from BITS Pilani and dual MBAs from Kelley Business School, USA, and Manchester Business School, UK. With more than 20 years of experience in operational leadership, Sunil has held prominent positions across diverse sectors, implementing Lean manufacturing and supply chain optimization. His journey spans roles at Motherson Sumi Systems, Minda Group, and Ingersoll Rand, where he played a key role as Plant Leader at the Naroda factory and as Director – Operations since 2023. He is currently overseeing the development of a new greenfield manufacturing plant at Sanand, Gujarat. Sunil’s expertise in operations, project management, and team leadership will support the company’s vision for growth and excellence.
