Turin, Italy- IVECO BUS is a brand of Iveco Group N.V., has delivered 36 new CROSSWAY Low Entry buses to the Dr. Richard Group for deployment on regional public transport routes across Burgenland, Austria. The new fleet is designed to enhance local mobility by providing reliable, accessible and comfortable transportation while supporting the operator's long-term investment in modern regional transit.

The buses were officially inaugurated during a ceremony at the Dr. Richard Group's Oberwart facility, attended by representatives from government, business, the media, partners and employees ahead of the vehicles entering commercial service.

The CROSSWAY Low Entry, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, is one of Europe's leading intercity bus models and has been specifically developed for regional transport operations. The model combines operational efficiency, passenger comfort and versatility, making it suitable for both high-demand regional services and longer intercity routes.

Each of the 36 buses accommodates up to 46 seated passengers, 25 standing passengers and one wheelchair space. The Low Entry design provides step-free access through the front section, improving boarding and alighting for passengers with reduced mobility, senior citizens and those travelling with pushchairs. Spacious entrance areas, passenger information systems and a functional interior layout further enhance the travel experience.

Powered by a 265 kW (360 hp) engine, the buses are engineered for dependable regional operations while helping operators manage operating costs. The vehicles are also equipped with advanced safety and driver assistance systems that support drivers and improve protection for passengers and other road users.

The fleet addition reinforces the Dr. Richard Group's commitment to improving the quality of public transport in Burgenland through reliable and efficient regional mobility solutions.

Mr. Ing. Siegfried Tanczos, Managing Director of the Dr. Richard Group, said that efficient scheduled transport depends on the commitment of all stakeholders, adding that the introduction of the new intercity buses represents another step toward delivering safe, reliable and comfortable public transport services in Burgenland.

The delivery also strengthens the long-standing partnership between IVECO BUS and the Dr. Richard Group, reflecting the operator's continued confidence in IVECO BUS's regional transport solutions.
