      IVECO BUS Secures Major Tender in Germany for Up to 580 Buses

      Turin, Italy - Iveco Group NV., an automobile company, has signed a 5-year framework agreement with the BusGruppe purchasing group, which includes Verkehrsbetriebe Bachstein, CeBus, KVG Stade, Omnibusbetrieb von Ahrenschildt, Pulm Reisen, and Reiseburo Schmidt. The agreement covers the supply of up to 580 city buses, including 250 fully electric models, with a total value of up to 235 million euros.

      IVECO BUS will supply 200 fully electric CROSSWAY Low Entry ELEC buses and 50 articulated E-WAY buses, supporting the customer’s energy transition. This represents the largest electric bus tender IVECO BUS has won in the German market. The agreement also includes 330 additional vehicles, including URBANWAY Hybrid articulated city buses and CROSSWAY Low Entry intercity buses, powered by FPT Industrial Cursor 9-litre engines compatible with select renewable fuels.

      IVECO BUS will customize the vehicles to meet the specific requests of the BusGruppe purchasing group, including cantilever seating, air conditioning, video surveillance, Wi-Fi, fuel-saving features, and USB charging ports. Bus deliveries will start in 2025 and continue until 2030.
