Turin, Italy- Iveco Bus is a brand of Iveco Group N.V., a commercial and specialty vehicles, has delivered its first hydrogen-powered city bus, the GX 337 H2 LINIUM, to Lorient Agglomeration in France. The handover was marked by an official inauguration ceremony attended by the President of Lorient Agglomeration, local officials, and the Director of the IziLo Mobilités public transport network. The delivery is presented as a European first and reflects IVECO BUS’s commitment to supporting the transition to decarbonised public transport.

The GX 337 H2 LINIUM will begin passenger service on line T5 from 22 December 2025, serving Lorient, Lanester, Hennebont, and Inzinzac-Lochrist. This marks the start of a phased rollout for the network. In total, 19 buses will be supplied under the project, with ten additional units scheduled for delivery during 2026.

Mr. Fabrice Loher, President of Lorient Agglomeration and Mayor of Lorient, said the first hydrogen bus reinforces the region’s ambition to lead a bold energy transition, while helping build a local ecosystem that supports innovation, job creation, and sustainable mobility solutions for residents. Giorgio Zino, Head of IVECO BUS Commercial Operations in Europe, added that the delivery demonstrates IVECO BUS’s commitment to working with local communities on decarbonised collective mobility, combining autonomy, comfort, and energy efficiency to help shape a more sustainable future.

The GX 337 H2 LINIUM is equipped with a 100 kW fuel cell powered by four hydrogen tanks, paired with a 69 kWh FPT Industrial battery pack. This configuration is designed to provide clean, efficient urban transport while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting the transition toward carbon neutrality.

Key benefits highlighted for the model include hydrogen consumption claimed to be 15–20% lower than market standards, improved thermal comfort through a heat pump system, capacity for up to 110 passengers, and an operational range of up to 450 km. The bus also features a fully accessible interior with dedicated spaces for passengers with reduced mobility and includes IVECO ON digital services aimed at optimising performance and reducing total cost of ownership.
