Recently, Iveco secured an order to supply 178 S-Way CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) trucks to the Post & Parcel Germany division of DHL.
This procurement aligns with DHL's sustainability initiatives, demonstrating their commitment to reducing carbon emissions and contributing to the overall decarbonization of road transport. The IVECO S-Way CNG trucks come equipped with Cursor engines from FPT Industrial, a brand within the Iveco Group known for its low-environmental impact powertrains. Notably, these engines can be powered by bio-CNG, a sustainable renewable fuel derived from waste and residual materials. The use of bio-CNG has the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 95% compared to traditional diesel engines. In cases where the gas is sourced from manure, it could even achieve a negative carbon footprint of up to -120%.
