Attlebridge, England - J Riley Beet Harvesters (UK) Ltd., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, is launching an upgraded version of the Vervaet Q-616 sugar beet harvester for the 2025/26 harvest season.
The Q-616 is equipped with a 530hp DAF Paccar engine, operating at just 1100 to 1350rpm for exceptional fuel efficiency and cost-effective lifting. An optional 40kph transmission is available. Its closely mounted rear wheels ensure true one-wheel-per-track capability, minimizing soil impact while providing excellent maneuverability and a tight turning radius.
The latest Q-616 harvester introduces a redesigned cab, enhanced technical features, updated styling, and a variety of new options. This facelift aligns with Vervaet’s commitment to continuous improvement, further advancing the Q-Series harvester design for increased performance and operator comfort.
Mr. Jonathan Hoekman, Commercial director at Frans Vervaet BV, said, “Since its launch in 2016, the Q-Series has been a huge success. Thanks to its modular design, manoeuvrability, and straight-forward layout this machine has proven itself across various markets and countries. With this latest update we aim to continue and strengthen this success. As a family-owned company now in its third generation, we feel we have built a robust machine for the immediate future.”
J Riley Beet Harvesters claims the Q-616 is Britain’s best-selling sugar beet harvester, outperforming both its Vervaet siblings and competitor models. With nearly a decade of proven performance, demand for refurbished used machines remains high, and Rileys supplies a significant number each year.
Mr. Matt Carse, Managing director at J Riley, said, “The Q-616 has proven itself in the UK as a worthy successor to the Vervaet 17-T and Beet Eater 617. Its versatility makes it well-suited to both farmers and contractors lifting across the full range of soil types, it has consistently outsold the competition since its introduction. The large UK population means we can also offer good-quality refurbished machines. Also, first-class backup, which is all as part of the package.”
