Coventry, United Kingdom- Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC (JLR)., has unveiled a new special edition of its flagship model, the Range Rover, named the Range Rover SV Ranthambore. Priced at Rs 4.98 crore (ex-showroom), this luxury SUV is based on the long wheelbase variant available in India and has been designed by the brand’s bespoke SV division. Notably, it is the first limited edition Range Rover created specifically for the Indian market, with only 12 units to be produced. As part of its launch, JLR has committed to donating a portion of the sales proceeds to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India, supporting tiger and wildlife conservation initiatives.
The design of the Range Rover SV Ranthambore draws inspiration from the majestic tiger found in Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan, giving it a distinctive look compared to other Range Rover models. The exterior is adorned with a bespoke deep black color that features a rich red shimmering effect, paying homage to the tiger’s colors. This is complemented by Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite accents that echo the tiger's stripes. The striking color scheme extends to the roof and mirror caps, as well as the 23-inch forged dark grey wheels, which include Corinthian Bronze inserts.
Inside, the Range Rover SV Ranthambore edition showcases the luxury and craftsmanship synonymous with SV Bespoke. It features a blend of Caraway and light Perlino semi-aniline leather, complete with contrast stitching and artistic embroidery inspired by the tiger’s spine stripes. The interior is further enhanced by customized scatter cushions, noble chrome accents, light linear wenge veneers, and white ceramic dials, all contributing to the SUV's ultra-luxurious ambiance.
The vehicle offers a four-seat layout with fully reclinable seats, a powered club table, deployable cupholders, and a refrigerated compartment complete with SV-etched glassware. Exclusive touches include bespoke themes, embroidered seats and cushions, SV bespoke branded tread plates indicating 'Ranthambore Edition,' and the designation '1 of 12' as part of the SV Signature suite.
Range Rover SV Ranthambore edition is powered by a robust 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, delivering 395 bhp and 550 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that directs power to all four wheels, ensuring a powerful and smooth driving experience.
