This contract, valued at approximately INR. 5,500 crore, further reinforces JBM Auto’s commitment to transforming urban transportation.

The prestigious tender was awarded by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), with JBM Auto receiving the Letter of Confirmation of Quantities eligible for award on February 18, 2025. The project follows a Gross Cost Contracting (GCC) model, ensuring end-to-end execution, including vehicle supply, infrastructure development, and operational support. JBM’s 1,021 electric buses will be deployed across 19 cities in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Haryana, supporting the Indian government’s vision of sustainable public transportation and reduced urban carbon footprints. By integrating advanced e-mobility solutions, JBM aims to enhance public transport networks, making them cleaner, more efficient, and environmentally friendly.

This deployment will significantly contribute to environmental sustainability. Over the next 12 years, these electric buses are projected to clock over 32 billion passenger e-kilometers, reducing more than 1 billion kilograms of CO2 emissions. This milestone aligns with JBM’s broader mission of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.

With this latest contract, JBM Auto’s electric bus order book now exceeds 11,000 units in various stages of execution. This achievement underscores the company’s strong market position and unwavering commitment to India’s clean energy transition. JBM Auto’s continued success in securing large-scale e-bus projects highlights its role as a key enabler of India’s green transport revolution. As urban centers increasingly embrace electric mobility, JBM remains at the forefront, innovating and delivering solutions that redefine public transportation for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
