Goa- JBM Auto Ltd., an India bus manufacturer has said that it has plans to launch additional electric buses expanding its fleet into Goa. The company stated that it wants to facilitate a green means of transport in the ecological sensitive areas of the Western Ghats, including Goa at the Transportation Fair that’s happening in Goa.

Nishant Arya, JBM Group Vice Chairman and Managing Director said, “Our plans to launch electric buses in the region, including Goa, is a reflection of our commitment to green and clean mobility. This also shows that the states are equally keen to adopt electric buses. While JBM Auto, as has been the practice so far, will fulfil the orders in time, we are extremely happy that the company commanded 100 percent market share in the tarmac electric buses segment FY 2022-23”.

Recently the company stated that it has bagged orders for about 5000 buses and to supply various State Transport Undertakings of Gujarat, Haryana, Delhi, Telangana, Orissa among others and multiple Fortune 500 companies for different applications such as city bus, staff bus, tarmac coach, etc. in both, 9 meters and 12 meters categories.

The same day, Mr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa also added that all tourist vehicles as well as vehicles provided on rent to be electrified from January 2024.
