Savannah, Georgia – J.C. Bamford Excavators Limited., a construction and earthmoving equipment manufacturer, has entered the 100+ horsepower segment of compact equipment with the launch of the 4TS-8T Teleskid and 400T compact track loader (CTL). At 109 hp, these are the most powerful models in JCB’s compact loader range, designed to meet the needs of construction and forestry operators tackling demanding applications.
The 4TS-8T Teleskid offers a 15-foot lift height and nearly 4,000-pound rated operating capacity, giving contractors the ability to replace a telehandler in many tasks. Weighing 13,000 pounds with a compact footprint, it delivers greater reach and versatility, now with the ability to run high-flow attachments at full extension. A new low-leak valve body ensures precise boom control without drift, improving safety and accuracy on the jobsite.
Mr. Lee Tice, Product Manager, JCB, said, "The 4TS and 400T were developed with extensive customer feedback, incorporating updates that deliver more power, greater reach and improved productivity. Whether you’re managing construction projects, tackling forestry challenges or handling versatile applications, these machines are built to exceed expectations."
The 400T CTL, at 12,544 pounds operating weight, is purpose-built for heavy-duty work such as land clearing, forestry, and snow removal. Its redesigned chassis and expanded cooling system enable continuous high-demand operations without auxiliary coolers. With 40+ gallons per minute hydraulic flow at 4,000 psi, it is engineered to power intensive attachments like drum mulchers.
Developed at JCB’s North American headquarters in Savannah, both models incorporate customer feedback to improve power, performance, and operator comfort. They are now available at JCB dealerships across North America.
