Rocester, England - JC Bamford Excavators Limited., a construction equipment manufacturer, is set to make a major impact at Plantworx 2025 with a strong line-up of new and existing machinery, headlined by the launch of the new 8008E CTS electric micro-excavator. The construction equipment giant has confirmed its return to the UK’s leading plant and machinery exhibition with what it calls a “bumper” display of technology, machines, and innovation.

The new 8008E CTS is a compact electric model designed specifically for confined or urban worksites. With a sub-1.0-tonne operating weight, the machine features an extending undercarriage, full day battery life, and offers the same power and productivity as its diesel equivalent—without the noise or emissions. JCB notes that the 8008E CTS is easy to transport, quiet in operation, and simple to recharge, making it an ideal choice for emissions-sensitive environments.

Also on display will be some of JCB’s latest innovations, including the 145XR reduced tail-swing excavator, the Pothole Pro road repair solution, the 558 260R Pro rotating telehandler, and the advanced 4CX PRO DualDrive backhoe loader. These will be showcased alongside a wide range of JCB's existing machines from the excavator, backhoe loader, site dumper, compaction, access, powerpack, and attachment portfolios.

A key highlight of the JCB stand will be its world-first hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine. The pioneering hydrogen engine is the result of a £100 million investment and years of development at JCB’s engine manufacturing facility in Derbyshire. Spearheaded by Chairman Lord Bamford, the initiative challenges traditional boundaries in clean energy technology, offering a new path forward in the decarbonisation of construction machinery.

In addition to its machinery and technology showcase, JCB will also be the headline sponsor of the Operator Challenge at Plantworx 2025. This year’s competition will feature a creative twist inspired by classic board games and will challenge skilled operators to complete eight precision-based activities, testing their control, timing, and expertise.

With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and operator skill, JCB’s presence at Plantworx 2025 is set to be one of the exhibition’s major attractions.
