JEM Launches the TEZ e-LCV in India

This collaboration boosts local manufacturing, supports Make in India, and strengthens India's AI and cloud infrastructure
Date: February 25, 2025Pune- Kalyani Powertrain Ltd (KPTL)., an electric division a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge Ltd., has collaborated with Advanced Micro Devices Inc., (AMD) an American multinational Corporation and technology company to enter the Indian server market. This collaboration marks a major milestone in advancing India's server infrastructure by integrating cutting-edge AMD technology into domestically manufactured solutions.
To commemorate this significant collaboration, Kalyani Powertrain recently hosted an event in Pune, attended by key leaders from both organizations. Representing AMD were Mr. Vinay Sinha, Managing Director & Corporate Vice President, India Mega Region; Mr. Pankaj Dessai, Director, Channel Business, India Mega Region; and Mr. Manmohan Brahma, Engineering Solutions Leader, India & AP Mega Region.
From the Kalyani Group, the event saw the presence of Mr. Baba Kalyani, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Forge Ltd.; Mr. Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman & Joint Managing Director, Bharat Forge Ltd.; Mr. Pankaj Sonalkar, Managing Director, Kalyani Powertrain Mr. Abhijit Moharir, Chief Information Officer, Kalyani Group; Mr. Ujwal BJ, Vice President, Program Management & Strategy, Kalyani Powertrain and Mrs. Varsha Kadam, Vice President, Sales & Business Development, Kalyani Powertrain. As a symbolic gesture of this landmark collaboration, leaders from both Kalyani Powertrain and AMD unveiled the first EPYC CPU-based server, marking the official launch of their strategic alliance.
Kalyani Powertrain’s electronics division is partnering with AMD to manufacture high-performance servers featuring AMD EPYC processors, known for efficiency, security, and reduced TCO for data centers. Future plans include integrating AMD Instinct accelerators to enhance AI and HPC capabilities.
AMD will provide design support to ensure these solutions meet global standards. This collaboration strengthens the Make in India initiative by boosting local manufacturing and reducing import reliance. It will empower enterprises, cloud providers, and government organizations with cutting-edge, cost-efficient server solutions, driving India’s digital transformation in AI and cloud computing.
