Kalyani Unveils MArG 45 Advanced 155mm Mobile Gun

Pune - Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited., a defense company and a subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, has introduced advanced MArG 45 mobile gun system at IDEX Abu Dhabi. The launch was led by H.E. Shri Sunjay Sudhir, India's Ambassador to the UAE.

MArG 45 is a 155mm/45 caliber mobile artillery gun system designed for rapid deployment and versatility. Built on a 4x4 high-mobility chassis, it weighs 23.5 tons and accommodates up to six crew members. It can be deployed in 1.5 minutes during the day and 2 minutes at night.

The system features a firing range of over 36 km with conventional ammunition, delivering a rate of fire of 10 rounds in 3 minutes in intense mode and 42 rounds in 60 minutes in sustained mode. It carries 18 rounds with Zone 6 charges onboard. The gun offers an elevation range from -2° to +72° and a traverse range of 25° in both directions. Combining mobility, precision, and firepower, the MArG 45 is a formidable asset for modern artillery operations.

The MArG 45 mobile gun system is capable of firing 10 rounds within 3 minutes in intense mode and sustaining a rate of 42 rounds over 60 minutes. It is designed to be compatible with both NATO-standard and in-service ammunition, ensuring operational flexibility across different military platforms. The system is built on an in-house designed high-mobility chassis, engineered for superior maneuverability across diverse and challenging combat environments, making it a reliable asset for modern artillery operations.
