Karsan Launches New Electric Bus e-ATA LE at UITP 2025

Karsan Launches New Electric Bus e-ATA LE at UITP 2025

Bursa, Türkiye- Karsan Otomotiv Sanayii ve Ticaret AS., an automotive manufacturer specializing in commercial vehicles, particularly buses and light commercial vehicles,has launched its new electric bus called the e-ATA LE at the UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2025 in Hamburg, Germany. The summit took place from June 15 to 18 and brought together more than 10,000 visitors from over 100 countries.

The new e-ATA LE is a fully electric bus built for long city routes and short intercity travel. It belongs to the Class 2 category and is designed to carry many passengers comfortably over longer distances. This bus is eco-friendly, produces no pollution, and is a smart solution for the future of public transportation.

Mr. Okan Baş, Karsan’s CEO,  said, “We are proud to introduce our new e-ATA LE at UITP 2025. This is an important step for Karsan, and we believe it will help us grow even more in the electric bus market.”

At the event, Karsan also displayed its other advanced vehicles. One of them is the e-JEST, a small electric bus that has been the top-selling electric minibus in Europe for five years in a row. Another is the Autonomous e-ATAK, the world’s first Level-4 self-driving public transport bus, which can run on planned routes without a driver.

Karsan is not only focused on vehicles it also works on helping society. The company was recently listed on the Great Place to Work 2025 Social Responsibility & Volunteering List. This award honors companies that support social causes and encourage employees to take part in volunteer work.

According to CEO Okan Baş, volunteering is a regular part of Karsan’s company culture. Employees and managers all take part in projects related to gender equality, education, the environment, and helping people in need. Karsan works with well-known groups like Mor Çatı, LÖSEV, TEV, BUİKAD, and Kızılay. The company also runs special programs like Barrier-Free Future and the Electric Vehicle Technology Lab.
