Kässbohrer Unveils Pendle Low Loader K.SLL P

Ulm, Germany- Karl Kässbohrer Fahrzeugwerke GmbH., a buses, coaches, vehicle transporters, trailers and special vehicles like snow groomer vehicles manufacturer, now introduces its in-house developed Pendle Low Loader, K.SLL P. The new model is engineered for peak maneuverability, effortless handling and reliable performance in heavy and abnormal goods transport.

Developed and validated at Europe’s leading R&D centers and tested on Europe’s only trailer OEM-owned test track, the Kässbohrer Pendle Low Loader K.SLL P has been validated for 1,000,000 km of real-life use. This extensive testing confirms its structural strength, torsional resistance, durability, load distribution, road stability and overall functionality under both standard and extreme road conditions.

The K.SLL P features Kässbohrer’s in-house developed independent pendle suspension with a 600 mm suspension stroke, ensuring excellent adaptation to challenging road surfaces and demanding operating environments. Its patented progressive hydraulic steering system, compliant with Ackermann steering principles from 0 to 60 degrees, enables smooth alignment, stable road handling and superior maneuverability, even on curves above 90 degrees, confined jobsites, construction areas, farmlands and difficult heavy transport routes.

Designed for high load safety, the Pendle Low Loader comes equipped with Europe’s highest capacity and number of lashing rings. Standard equipment includes 8x2 13.4-ton lashing rings, 4x2 8-ton lashing rings and 3x2 10-ton lashing rings, supported by integrated pillar pockets and container lock housings. Optional detachable floor-integrated lashing rings further improve load-securing flexibility for heavy machinery, industrial components and abnormal cargo.

The K.SLL P is engineered to maximize load flexibility with horizontal extension up to 5,550 mm and lateral extension up to 2 x 230 mm, enabling the safe transport of construction machinery, agricultural equipment, steel structures, industrial components and boats. All possible vehicle lengths, with incremental extensions from 500 mm to 5,550 mm, are approved by TÜV-DEKRA for Paragraph 70 regulation compliance.

With its lowest loading platform and 350 mm loading height, the Kässbohrer Pendle Low Loader enables the transportation of loads up to 3,650 mm high without additional processes. For faster and more ergonomic operations, it also features a detachable gooseneck that allows front-side loading and can be detached in less than 50 seconds using standard quick coupling lines for electricity, air and hydraulic systems.

The vehicle is also protected by Kässbohrer’s advanced metallisation technology, validated by more than 3,800 hours of salt spray testing with no red rust formation. This corrosion protection supports long vehicle life, durability and strong value retention across the low-bed and container chassis range.
