Maharashtra - India Kawasaki Motors Private Ltd., a motorcycle manufacturer, has launched the new Ninja 1100SX in India. This sports tourer features a larger 1,099cc engine, and replacing the Ninja 1000SX.
The Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX is powered by a 1,099cc, liquid-cooled, inline-4 engine that produces 136PS at 9,000rpm and 113Nm at 7,600rpm, coupled with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. In comparison, the Ninja 1000SX featured a 1,043cc engine generating 140PS and 111Nm.
While the Ninja 1100SX has slightly lower peak power, Kawasaki claims that the power and torque are delivered earlier in the rev range, improving response and performance. Additionally, the longer 5th and 6th gears are designed to enhance comfort during highway riding, making long-distance cruising smoother and more efficient.
The Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX is equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console that offers smartphone connectivity via the Rideology app and includes two display modes. It also features an updated bi-directional quickshifter, designed to provide smoother shifting performance compared to the Ninja 1000SX. Kawasaki claims these updates will improve low-end performance, making the bike more responsive, while also enhancing fuel efficiency for better overall riding experience.
The Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX features three-level traction control, full and low power modes, electronic cruise control, and four ride modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider. It comes with a Type-C charging port as standard. The bike is built on a twin-tube aluminium frame, with a 41mm inverted fork and gas-charged monoshock.
