Pune- India Kawasaki Motors Private Limited., has introduced the Versys 1100 in the country, priced at INR 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom). While the engine is the same as the Ninja 1100SX, the Versys 1100 is designed specifically for touring.

The Versys 1100 features an emotionally engaging, well-integrated design with flowing styling and a harmonious use of color and materials that highlight its functional beauty. The sculpted bodywork is crafted for rider comfort. Additionally, it boasts an all-LED lighting package, including twin headlamps, compact turn signals, a LED taillight, and a LED license plate lamp.

The engine is a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, in-line four with a displacement of 1,099 cm³ and a compression ratio of 11.8:1. It uses a DOHC valve system with 16 valves, a fuel injection system (38 mm x 4), and forced lubrication via a wet sump. Maximum power output is 99 kW (135 PS) at 9,000 rpm, with a maximum torque of 112 Nm at 7,600 rpm.

The transmission is a 6-speed return shift with a multi-disc wet clutch, and the final drive is a sealed chain with a final reduction ratio of 2.800. The bike has a twin-tube aluminum frame with a 106 mm trail and 150 mm front and 152 mm rear wheel travel. It rides on 120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear tires. The overall dimensions are 2,270 x 895 x 1,400 mm, with a seat height of 820 mm and a curb mass of 257 kg.

The fuel capacity is 21 liters, and it offers a ground clearance of 150 mm. Braking is handled by dual semi-floating discs at the front and a single disc at the rear, with a front suspension featuring an inverted fork and a rear horizontal back-link suspension with adjustable rebound damping and spring preload.
