Seoul, South Korea - Kia Corporation., an automobile manufacturer, reports 0.1% sales growth in 2024, with a record 3.1 million global sales. For 2025, Kia aims for 3.2 million units, focusing on expanding its EV lineup, launching new models, and strengthening its presence in both international and domestic markets.
Kia sales outside of Korea grew by 1% year-over-year, reaching 2,543,361 units. However, domestic sales in Korea saw a 4.2% decline, totaling 540,010 units. In December 2024, Kia achieved global monthly sales of 240,537 vehicles, marking an 11.8% increase compared to December 2023.
Kia 2024 sales reached 3,089,457 units, surpassing 2023 record of 3,087,384. The Sportage led with 587,717 units sold, followed by the Seltos (312,246) and Sorento (280,705). Kia's success was driven by new models like the EV3, K4 sedan, and hybrid Carnival, along with improved production and supply efficiency.
Kia targets global sales of 3,216,200 units for 2025, including 550,000 in Korea and 2,658,000 internationally. December 2024 saw a 2.8% increase in Korea, with 46,070 units sold, while international sales raise 14.2% to 193,887 units. Special-purpose vehicle sales totaled 580 units, showing a slight year-over-year decline but a small increase compared to November.
In 2024, Kia's sales in Korea fell 4.2% to 540,010 units, while international sales grew 1% to 2,543,361 units. Special-purpose vehicle sales rose 6.6% to 6,086 units. For 2025, Kia targets 550,000 units in Korea, 2,658,000 internationally, and 8,200 special-purpose vehicles, aiming for a global total of 3,216,200 units.
