NEW DELHI - Kia India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of South Korean automaker Kia Corporation, has unveiled the Syros EV, its second mass-market electric vehicle, with pre-bookings now open for ₹25,000 through the company’s website and dealerships nationwide. The electric SUV offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 526 km and is supported by a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, an assured buyback programme and flexible Battery-as-a-Service financing.

Designed for evolving EV buyers, the Syros EV combines SUV practicality with connected technology, reliable charging support, advanced safety and long-term ownership confidence.

Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia, said, “Our philosophy of 'Movement that Inspires' is about making future mobility meaningful, accessible and enriching for our customers. With the Syros EV, our second mass-market electric vehicle for India, we are democratizing advanced electric mobility — not only through cutting-edge technology, but by removing the anxieties that hold customers back. The Syros EV delivers a best-in-segment ARAI-certified range of 526 km — the first in its segment to cross the 500 km mark. Paired with a best-in-segment power output of 171 PS, it gives customers the confidence to go further without compromising on performance. Backed by a simplified and effortless ownership experience, including a Lifetime* Battery Warranty, Assured Buyback and BaaS, we are addressing what matters most to Indian families, bringing them a decisive step closer to going electric.”

      Ownership Assurance

The Kia Syros EV is supported by a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, an assured buyback programme and flexible Battery-as-a-Service financing. These initiatives are designed to address major EV ownership concerns, including battery durability, resale value and high initial purchase costs.

      Battery, Range and Performance

The Syros EV is available with two battery options. The 51.4 kWh version offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 526 km, while the 42 kWh version delivers up to 443 km. Using a 100 kW DC charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 39 minutes.

Built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform, the long-range version produces 171 PS and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. Its IP67-rated battery features liquid-cooled thermal management for reliable operation across varied Indian weather conditions.

Additional EV technologies include regenerative-braking paddle shifters, i-Pedal driving, Vehicle-to-Load functionality, battery pre-conditioning, Digital Key, a virtual engine sound system and column-mounted shift-by-wire controls.

      Integrated Charging Network

Through the MyKia app, the K-Charge platform provides access to more than 20,300 public charging points operated by 23 charging-network providers. Customers can locate chargers, plan routes and make payments through a single platform.

Kia’s EV support network also includes more than 129 dealerships equipped with high-capacity DC chargers and over 275 EV-ready workshops across India.

      Modern Exterior Design

The Syros EV features Kia’s Digital Tiger Face, Ice Cube LED headlamps, Star Map daytime running lights and LED rear lamps. Its EV-specific design is further enhanced by flush door handles, aerodynamic alloy wheels, gloss-black skid plates and distinctive roof rails and side garnishes.

      Connected and Practical Cabin

      The cabin features a 30-inch panoramic display integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 5-inch climate-control display.

Other features include Kia Connect 2.0 with more than 95 connected functions, over-the-air updates, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an eight-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and wireless smartphone charging.

The Syros EV also offers sliding and reclining rear seats, front and rear ventilated seats, a powered driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a dual-camera dashcam, rear sunshades, multiple USB-C ports and a 16-litre front storage compartment.

      Advanced Safety

The electric SUV is equipped with Level 2 ADAS offering 16 autonomous assistance functions, including collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, lane assistance, driver-attention warning and high-beam assistance.

Additional safety features include a 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor, reverse parking collision avoidance, six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assistance, tyre-pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, all-wheel disc brakes and an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold.

      Variants and Colours

The Syros EV will be offered in seven variants across two battery options. Customers can choose from nine exterior colours and multiple cabin themes, including exclusive colour combinations for the X-Line version.
