      Kia reports in May 2024 sales

      New Delhi- Kia Motors India Private Limited, a carmaker in the country, In May 2024, the company sold 19,500 units, marking a year-over-year growth of over 3.9% from 18,766 units sold in May of the previous year.

      The new Sonet led Kia India's sales with 7,433 units, followed closely by Seltos and Carens with 6,736 and 5,316 units, respectively. Kia also exported 2,304 units, totaling production to 21,804 units. This pushed Kia past the 2.5 lakh export milestone to over 100 countries, primarily driven by Seltos, accounting for nearly 60% of exports, followed by Sonet and Carens.

      In under five years, Kia has become a top car brand in India, selling over 9.8 lakh units domestically, with Seltos making up nearly 50% of sales. Kia India plans to launch two global models, the EV9 and the new Carnival, in the second half of the year.

      Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar – Senior Vice President and Head Sales & Marketing at Kia India, said, "So far in this year, we have been aggressive in introducing new competitive variants of our models, which has contributed significantly to our sales. With a robust network expansion strategy in place, we shall continue to grow in the rest of the year and cross 1 million domestic sales milestone soon”.
