Katy, Texas – KOBELCO Construction Machinery USA., and Trimble, Inc., have expanded their partnership to provide the Trimble Earthworks 2D grade control platform directly through select KOBELCO dealers in North America. The move gives contractors easier access to advanced machine guidance and control technology while ensuring training, service, and support are available at the dealer level.

Since 2017, KOBELCO has offered a Trimble Ready option on several excavator models. With the new program, branded as KOBELCO’s certified Trimble Earthworks 2D grade control offering - customers can now purchase excavators pre-equipped with Trimble technology, streamlining acquisition and installation.

Mr. Dan Collins, Director of product development and marketing at KOBELCO USA, said, “This collaboration allows KOBELCO dealers to offer proven technology that enhances productivity, reduces overcut, and shortens project timelines.”

Mr. Scott Crozier, Vice president of civil construction field systems at Trimble, said, “We are committed to making Trimble technology as easy as possible for all customers to purchase, regardless of equipment type. This initiative makes it simpler for KOBELCO customers to benefit from the Trimble ecosystem.”

KOBELCO’s dealer certification program ensures seamless integration and support by training staff, maintaining demo units and parts, and appointing a technology champion. Certified dealers can offer competitively priced Trimble Earthworks 2D solutions, provide financing, speed up installations with factory sensor mounts, and support future upgrades to 3D systems through the Sitech network.

Trimble Earthworks 2D guidance and control systems are now available across a range of KOBELCO excavator models, offering contractors consistent grade accuracy, increased efficiency, and a clear pathway to advanced 3D grade control.
