Tokyo, Japan - KOBELCO Construction Machinery Inc., a construction machinery manufacturer, has introduced the new SK650DLC-11 high-reach demolition excavator, offering multiple boom configurations, strong tool capacity and improved flexibility for demanding demolition applications.
Powered by a 463-horsepower Isuzu Tier 4 Final engine, the 178,100-pound machine can handle tools weighing up to 13,450 pounds. It also features a hydraulic variable undercarriage, demolition-specific tilting cab and attachment connection system to simplify setup and transport.
The SK650DLC-11 can be equipped with either a Separate Digging Boom or a 3-Piece High-Reach Attachment using a shared main boom. Depending on configuration, the excavator provides pin heights ranging from 50 feet 2 inches to a maximum of 92 feet 7 inches, with tool capacities of up to 13,450 pounds for digging configurations and 8,160 pounds for high-reach work.
Safety features include a cab interference prevention system, stability monitoring with audible alerts and a demolition cab that tilts up to 30 degrees for improved visibility. The cab also includes P5A glass, Level II protection and a falling-object deflector.
The SK650DLC-11 is designed to give demolition contractors greater versatility across high-reach, close-range and below-ground applications.
