Mumbai - Krishna Defence and Allied Industries Ltd., a defence technology company, has signed a Joint Venture (JV) agreement with global advanced composites specialist VABO Composites to establish a state-of-the-art composites manufacturing facility in India. The collaboration aims to enhance indigenous capabilities in high-performance materials for defence and aerospace applications.
The partnership combines Krishna Defence’s expertise in the Indian defence ecosystem with VABO Composites’ global experience, enabling the development of world-class composite structures tailored for the Indian armed forces and allied sectors. The new facility will focus on designing, developing, and manufacturing lightweight, high-strength composite components critical for defence, aerospace, and other strategic industries.
Aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, the JV is expected to boost local manufacturing, foster technology transfer, create skilled employment, and support domestic suppliers in the advanced materials sector.
Once operational, the unit will serve Indian defence programs and select export markets, positioning India as a competitive source of high-quality composite solutions. The collaboration reflects both companies’ commitment to innovation, sustainable growth, and strengthening India’s strategic manufacturing capabilities.
