Munich, GermanyKässbohrer Fahrzeugwerke GmbH., a leading name in trailer technology, is set to showcase its most advanced and sustainable transport solutions at the upcoming transport logistic 2025 fair in Munich, taking place from June 2–5. Guided by its motto “Enginuity” – a fusion of engineering and ingenuity – Kässbohrer continues to address the evolving needs of the global transport sector through cutting-edge research, development, and collaboration.

At Hall A6, Stand 323/424, the company will present its latest innovations across a wide range of transport applications, including general cargo, intermodal logistics, liquid bulk, and heavy haulage, while supporting the industry’s crucial transition to low-emission, sustainable transport.

Showcasing Award-Winning Container Chassis

A key highlight at the event will be Kässbohrer’s Octagon-on container chassis series, which recently won the Trailer Innovation Award in the chassis category. This breakthrough central frame design has resolved a decades-long issue with torsional stress during extension and retraction operations, vastly improving operational durability. The chassis has been rigorously tested for over 1,000,000 km and is now standardized across Kässbohrer’s extendable and fixed container chassis range.

Kässbohrer will display its multi-functional, extendable Octagon-on chassis, capable of safely and efficiently transporting containers ranging from 20 ft to 45 ft HC, as well as 13.6 m cargo boxes and 45 ft swap bodies.

Introducing Europe’s Lightest 20ft Tank Container Chassis

In the courtyard exhibition area A5-6, Stand 7-9, Kässbohrer will debut Europe’s lightest 20 ft tank container chassis, weighing just 3,250 kg. Constructed with S 700 MC steel and featuring a KTL coating, this robust design maximizes load capacity and operational life. The model also boasts enhanced safety and user-friendly features, including open rear access, integrated hose carriers, and aluminium walking platforms.

Driving Cold Chain Efficiency with Electric Reefer Innovation

Another major debut is Kässbohrer’s next-generation electric reefer (K.SRI E), developed in collaboration with BPW and Thermo King. Equipped with advanced insulation (0.31 K value GRP panels) and efficient air circulation, the e-reefer can cut CO₂ emissions by up to 10 tons per year, achieving fuel savings of up to 4,000 liters annually making it over 50% more efficient than other electric reefers on the market.

Pioneering Electrification in Long-Haul Logistics

Continuing its leadership in zero-emission solutions, Kässbohrer is advancing its e-curtainsider trailer, developed under the EU-funded ZEFES project. This trailer, featuring a recuperation axle system from ZF, supports both electric and combustion engine trucks. Ongoing tests aim to validate the vehicle’s performance in real-world logistics operations.

To discuss these advancements, Kässbohrer will host the K-Expert Talk: ‘Towards Zero Emissions: Electrification Update Panel’ on June 3, 2025, from 11:00 to 12:00, featuring insights from industry stakeholders and project partners.

Commitment to R&D and Long-Term Innovation

With Europe’s largest test infrastructure and a dedicated R&D ecosystem, Kässbohrer continues to invest heavily in vehicle testing and innovation. Its Adapazarı Mega Campus recently expanded with a new outdoor test track, developed in partnership with IDIADA, to simulate real-life torsion, vibration, and stability conditions—ensuring long-term durability and customer satisfaction.

As Kässbohrer celebrates 125 years of engineering excellence, it remains steadfast in its mission to provide future-proof, sustainable transport solutions for all sectors of the logistics industry.
